Feb. 12, 2022 — Nueva Providencia Marriage Conference

Writing after a very long day to report that the Marriage and Family conference went very well.  Sarah and her husband are amazing organizers along with their other gifts, and the conference went off in perfection.  It was held at Nueva Providencia (New Providence) where SRL had it start.  The sanctuary, perched on the mount of St. Elena, provided the perfect venue to meet all our needs. God provided the weather enabling Sarah and her husband to keep the children occupied during the conference. (See pictures of Luis engaging the boys in a bit of ball play in a side yard and Sarah working with the girls in the front).  The gorgeous grounds  also allowed people to mingle and get to know other homeschools in between sessions. A delicious lunch of bbq pork or pesto chicken, salad (which we avoided), (parasites), cream of spinach soup and potato wedges was served in a beautiful banquet room with a wall of windows overlooking the treetops and clouds. The place was full and there was much participation.  Now we are “home” and tired.  It has been a packed 7 days and we have one more here in Medellin.  Thankfully Don only preaches once tomorrow, and the service doesn’t start until 10:00 am. Hooray!  We very much look forward to spending the afternoon with Anderson O’Campo and his family.  Then it’s off to Cartagena for a few days of R & R before heading out to Cali to work with Javier and the Presbytery there.  Don’s voice is holding up well thank God.  Both of us are doing fine.  Thank you for your prayers.  We miss you all – but not the weather!
